H&G Collector’s Edition Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon showcases aromas of sweet oak and dark fruit, followed by velvety tannins and rich fruit flavors.
Our grapes were hand harvested in Oakville, California, one of the most renowned appellations for Cabernet Sauvignon within the Napa Valley. Following harvest, the grapes were transported to the winery where they were de-stemmed and moved into stainless steel fermentation tanks. During the fermentation process the wine went through a two day pump-over process. After fermentation, our wine was aged until it was mature enough for bottling.
Enjoy alongside wasabi flank steak with miso-glazed potatoes, or lemon-pepper salmon and a side of roasted asparagus.
H&G Collector’s Edition Chalk Hill Cabernet Sauvignon gives off aromas of dark fruit along with oak and vanilla, which are met by a rich texture and dark red berries. The aromas and flavors are perfectly balanced by velvety tannins.
Our grapes were hand-picked in the early mornings and transported to the winery, still chilled from the cool morning air. At the winery, the grapes underwent de-stemming and were placed into fermentation tanks. Peak fermentation was achieved at 90º which resulted in perfect extraction of all the grapes’ components. Juice was then pressed and malolactic fermentation was carried out in the barrels. After three rackings, the barrels were tightly sealed and aged until bottling.
This is a perfect pairing alongside pan-seared rib-eye steak with a side of truffle mashed potatoes or whole wheat ricotta gnocchi with tomato and fresh herb sauce.
Our H&G Napa Valley Red Blend, a blend of Merlot, Zinfandel, Petit Verdot, Montepulciano, Malbec, and Petite Sirah is a masterful mingling of grapes, creating dense dark fruit flavors with a deep overlay of mocha and vanilla oak.
After our grapes were carefully handpicked, they were delivered to our winery where de-stemming and crushing preceded a 10-day fermentation in closed-top stainless steel tanks. After primary fermentation, malolactic fermentation was initiated, lasting through the winter and finishing in early spring.
Enjoy this wine alongside a grilled steak salad topped with balsamic vinaigrette dressing or smoked salmon with a side of roasted shallots.
